This is my fathers old 140 tractor that he had loaned to my uncle prior to his death in 1985 after we stopped farming. When dad passed away the tractor was left to me, so I told my uncle that he could keep it and use it until he decided to stop growing a garden. He called me the first of this year and told me that he had to stop growing a garden, by the way he will be 98 years young this year. He is a WWII survivor and received a very serious wound to his face at St. Lo in europe. I am extremely proud of him and glad that he has been able to enjoy farming his two acre garden all of these years. I am getting back into the garden project with a lot of help from my next door neighbor, who without his help I would be at a total loss. It is so nice to have good neighbors. I took the tractor apart to clean it and paint it in pieces then put it all back together without having parts left over.

Looks good Earl ... bring it up here to Ohio, I could use some help with a garden here -
My name is Earl King and I live in a small town in the northern piedmont of North Carolina. I have been happily married for over forty years. We are located almost equal distance from Kerr Lake and Gaston Lake. Over the past twenty five or so years the area has had many people move into the area building nice homes on the lakes. We are basically an agricultural community, but fast becoming an antique center with many shops in our little town. I have lived here almost all of my life except for a short period when I helped build bridges in the Washington, D.C. area and a short period in the military. After finishing a thirty year career with the N.C. Department of Correction, rising through the ranks from a correctional officer to the rank of Superintendent III overseeing a staff of one hundred and fifty and four hundred medium custody inmates. I retired to enjoy my senior years, which I do each day the "Good Lord" gives me. I have always loved photography and assist local and state law enforcement photographing wrecks and crime scenes. I also work freelance for a local newspaper photographing sports events and other special events.
