Here are a few of the many photos that I took at the 2009-2010 Haliwa-Saponi Annual Powwow held at the Haliwa-Saponi grounds. There were many participants doing the many type of dances and also several different drum groups. It was a beautiful day with the temperature in the mid seventies, sunshine and a slight breeze. You could not have had a better day for this event. Outside of the dance area there were many vendors selling all types of Indian memorabilia and many food booths. The new princess was crowned at 1:00 p.m. and she is in one of the individual photos on this page. Maybe more photos of this event later.
