Just another fish photo.
The grass is beginning to stick it blades of grass out slowly.

Jonquils have began to grow rather fast.

This is our new patio that I put in after removing one of the smaller fish ponds.

This fish photo was taken by my DW, I just recently did away with one of my little ponds and put all the fish in a bigger pond. They have a lot more room.
This is a shot of one of my Weeping Willow trees that I rooted from the tree at our old home when DW's parents ran a grill and grocery store.

This is a shot of the moon that I took at five a.m. with my camera set at ISO of 6400 and f2.8 lens setting.

Another shot of our creek at a different location.

This is a turtle that we found hibernating in the creek, he stayed in the same place for at least two weeks and then moved closer to the bank when the temperature went into the sixties.

February 2, 2009, Geese on Pond

These four Canada geese showed up today at our farm pond. I used a 105-350 lens to get the photos from a distance. Hope they stay around for awhile.

Backyard Visitor

I just happened to look out the kitchen window and to my surprize I saw this little fellow that did not look quite right and I realized he had a white fuzzy tail. I have heard of albino animals, but not half albinos. There is a place in our N.C. mountains where solid white squirrels are numerous. This little fellow looked to be about half the size of the other squirrels that are in our yard. Possibly because we feed them and there are real fat for this time of the year. Will keep a eye open and if it returns will take more photos. Enjoy

Click on the photo and it will enlarge, to go to the next photo hit the back arrow at the top left and it will return to the other photos.

More Photos of Our Kitties

Bubba takes over the sofa and sometimes he will share it with me.
Baby Sister has several beds like this one and she moves from one to the other.

Bubba is getting ready to take his evening time nap.

This is one of Bubba's sleep positions.

Please turn out the light, it is getting in my eyes and keeping me awake.

Bubba finally gets to go to sleep.

This is Bubba's bed and he has began using it a lot lately.

This is Bubba's leave me alone look.

Click on the photos to enlarge them.Mama Cat showing off when we returned from our walk. This is a daily ritual when we get back from our daily walk around the farm.
This is running cedar that we found on a hillside on the back of the farm near the swampy area by the creek.

Moss growns on the trails that we walk on through the woods. We take little patches of it and carry it to the cemetery lot and it really looks good.

Photo is of the creek that runs on the back side of the farm.

We have hundreds of Nandina bushes growing behind our house and the birds have spread the seeds all over the farm. They are coming up everywhere.

One of the older bluebird houses that are placed around the farm.

We have a lot of squirell nests around the farm, there is no hunting allowed because we feel that there should be some places that the wildlife can feel safe.

This is another photo of the creek, notice the small rocks in the sand and the old leaves that are deteriorating.

This is our renter's dog Jolly coming to meet us as we began our walk. She is real strong and frisky. She loves to be petted and is a very friendly dog if she knows you.

This is a pile of day lily stalks that I had piled up and I liked the way that they looked, so I took a photo of them.
