This was a sunset at the ballpark, and the colors were very pretty, so I took a break to snap the photo.

Babe Ruth Softball League

These are photos of one of the games of the Babe Ruth Softball League. The girls in the white uniforms are from Chocowinity which is located in the eastern part of the state of N.C. and the girls in the Burgundy and Grey are from closer to the middle of the state. This is a four day double elimination tournament and the championship game will be player on Sunday. I don't know the total number of teams, but there are four ball fields and they start playing at nine in the morning and play into the night. July 4th Parade Photos 2008

Had a hard time getting her to look at the camera, but with the help of her mother and father she finally looked my way.
This little boy pedaled his little car all the way through the parade.
Susan and Elton Brown can always be relied on to ride their horses in the parades, nice looking horses guys.
Ladies from the Wise Baptist Church are busy serving up good food and they always have a smile for visitors to their booth.
I do not know the names of the little children in some of the photos, but they make such good subjects to be photographed.

More Fireworks From Kerr Lake

Some more photos from the fireworks display at Kerr Lake. A little information about this lake, it has a shoreline of approximately eight to nine hundred miles, according to what I have been told. The dam was built in the early fifties, I remember that because my father was one of the superintendents supervising the building of this dam. It has many different types of fish, including Rock Fish. There are a lot of homes built around this lake and in the summer time it is buzzing with activity, boating, fishing, jet skis, etc. More fireworks photos to follow, cannot upload but five at the time.

Fireworks At Kerr Lake July 5, 2008

This was the fireworks at Kerr Lake and I went with my friend that works at the local paper and he helped me set up my camera. Thanks Ashley. It was a lot of fun and the photos look very good to me. To get a better look click on each one and enlarge it. Have more that I will post later.

Pre-Fourth of July Fireworks

These are a few of the fireworks that our neighbor set off for the grandchildren tonight, they were very beautiful, it is a new thing for me to try to photograph them. I am still learning about my new camera and its many gadgets. Hope you enjoy them and I will post more later if you people out there in cyber space would like to see more.
